WHO:      All Ireland Fiddle Champion and local fiddle hero BRENDAN MULVIHILL joins THE IRISH INN MATES (Tina Eck on flute & whistle, Betsy O'Malley, tenor banjo, whistle, and vocals and Jesse Winch, bodhrán, mandola, guitar, and harmonica) at the Old Brogue for an incomparable evening of Irish music at its best.
The Irish Inn Mates are a group of close musical friends who get together every Monday evening at the Irish Inn at Glen Echo for traditional Irish music and songs. Tina is a mainstay on the Washington ceili and session scene and is a sought-after dance musician. Betsy and Jesse are original members of the Bog Wanderers Ceili Band and released a CD, Here's to You, in 2005 which the Washington Post called "...a treat to hear from start to finish."  This February, Brendan, whose 30+ year fiddling career has produced countless hours of musical brilliance and dozens of inspired students, was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Mid-Atlantic Region of Comhaltas Ceoltoírí Éireann.

Audiences for these concerts are requested to be quiet (except, of course, when encouraged to participate!). By popular demand the series continues to be a non smoking event. These Celtic concerts run four Sundays in February (3, 10, 17 and 24) and two in March (2 and 9), with three sittings each evening: 4 - 5:30, 6 - 7:30 and 8 - 9:30 p.m. by the fireside in the Snuggery (Dining Room) of the Old Brogue Irish Pub. A full dinner menu of the Old Brogue’s fine fare will be available, as well as one of the area’s most extensive collection of choice ales. SPACE IS LIMITED AND THESE ARE POPULAR CONCERTS SO EARLY BOOKING IS RECOMMENDED.
.
