Thank you so very much for once again helping us present a sell out

succeeded. All of us involved are deeply grateful for your support.

WHO: The East Coast’s premier pan-Celtic group, IONA, transports its audience to
Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Cornwall, Mann, Brittany, Asturies and
Galicia, and explores the Celtic cultures of the New World. Lead
singer, guitar, bouzouki and bodhrán player, Barbara Ryan,
and
Bernard Argent on wooden flute, whistles, vocals and percussion,
are
joined by Chuck Lawhorn on bass guitar, whistles and vocals,
new
members Jim Queen, fiddle, banjo and vocals and Scottish
fiddler/Cape
Breton step dancer Cassie Smith-Christmas: a new and even more
versatile incarnation! Formed by Ryan and Argent in 1986, IONA
continues to be at the forefront of the pan-Celtic renaissance in the
US. The band, which tours internationally, is endorsed by the VA
Commission for the Arts Touring Program and won a WAMMIE for their most
recent CD. In 1990 Ryan and Argent also established the Winter Concert
Series, and founded the prestigious Potomac Celtic Festival in Leesburg
in 1994.
Audiences for these concerts are requested to be quiet (except, of
course, when
encouraged to participate!). By popular demand the series continues to
be a non smoking event. These Celtic concerts run four Sundays in
February (3, 10, 17 and 24) and two in March (2 and 9), with three
sittings each evening: 4 - 5:30, 6 - 7:30 and 8 - 9:30 p.m. by the
fireside in the Snuggery (Dining Room) of the Old Brogue Irish Pub. A
full dinner menu of the Old Brogue’s fine fare will be available, as
well as one of the area’s most extensive collection of choice ales.
SPACE IS LIMITED AND THESE ARE POPULAR CONCERTS, SO EARLY BOOKING IS
RECOMMENDED.
