About house concerts: An idea born in the 1980s, as a way for touring artists to perform where the facilities or demographics would not support a full scale concert, house concerts hark back to a time when folk music was only performed in the kitchens and parlors of "folk". The host provides concert space in their home. No admission is charged, but  a donation is requested, which goes directly to the performer(s). It is not a public event which is why the address is not listed. and anyone wishing to attend must call first for an invitiation.. We provide sodas and desserts, attendees are welcome to bring picnics and coolers.
